Code of Practice

As a member of the Autosafe network we guarantee to:

· Provide, if requested by a customer, a full written estimate or fixed-price quotation for any services or work to be carried out.

· Where investigative or diagnostic work is required before a full estimate or fixed-price quotation can be given, a financial limit for this diagnostic work will be agreed and set before any expense is incurred.

· Offer a system for booking in your vehicle that records full details of the vehicle, your name, work required, your contact details and invoicing information.

· Provide you with an invoice for the work done that carries the following minimum information: date, mileage, registration number, labour hours, labour rate, parts prices, oil quantity used and price per litre.

· We will notify you of any problems on the vehicle that we believe need further attention. This information will be added as a comment to your invoice.

· Only fit ‘original spare parts’ or ‘spare parts of matching quality’ as defined by the 2002 Block Exemption Regulation.

· Adhere to the relevant and current manufacturers’ service schedules, utilising standard service and repair times with either manufacturer or ICME schedules.

· Ensure all services are recorded in your vehicle’s service record book on completion, entering the required details and applying the garage’s stamp.

· Notify you if for any reason work cannot be completed on schedule as promised and inform you of the extended time required and reasons for the delay.

· Give the work carried out on your vehicle a minimum of a 12 months / 12,000 mile (whichever the least) guarantee under the Nationwide Autosafe Parts Warranty Scheme.

· Dispose of waste materials, i.e. oils, oil filters, batteries, tyres, etc. in an ecologically acceptable and legal manner.

· Take reasonable care of your vehicle and possessions whilst in our care.

National Call Centre

The Autosafe Call Centre is your single point of contact wherever in the UK you are based. Our operators can put you in touch with local independent Autosafe garages throughout the UK.

The call centre also provides the links between our members all of whom will carry out warranty repairs on work previously carried-out be other Autosafe members. So if you're on holiday in Wales, or working in Woking, we'll put you in touch with a local Autosafe garage that'll deal with any problems you encounter.
